Jasmine Tea Recipe

Jasmine Green Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon loose-leaf jasmine tea or 1 jasmine tea bag
  • 1 cup hot water (about 175°F or 80°C)
  • Optional: honey, sugar, or lemon for sweetening

Instructions:

  1. Choose Quality Tea:
    • Select high-quality loose-leaf jasmine tea or jasmine tea bags for the best flavor. Look for tea labeled as fragrant and aromatic.
  2. Boil Water:
    • Bring water to a near-boil, around 175°F (80°C). Boiling water may scald the delicate jasmine tea leaves, so a slightly lower temperature is preferable.
  3. Preheat Teapot or Infuser:
    • Rinse the teapot or tea infuser with hot water to preheat it. This helps to maintain the water temperature during steeping.
  4. Add Jasmine Tea:
    • Place 1 tablespoon of loose-leaf jasmine tea or 1 jasmine tea bag into the teapot or infuser.
  5. Pour Hot Water:
    • Pour the hot water over the tea leaves or tea bag.
  6. Steep the Tea:
    • Allow the jasmine tea to steep for about 2-4 minutes. Steeping time may vary based on personal preference. Longer steeping times can result in a stronger flavor.
  7. Strain or Remove Tea Bag:
    • If using loose-leaf tea, strain the tea to remove the leaves. If using a tea bag, simply remove the bag.
  8. Optional Sweetening:
    • Add honey, sugar, or a splash of lemon if you prefer a sweeter or flavored jasmine tea. Adjust according to your taste.
  9. Serve:
    • Pour the brewed jasmine tea into your favorite teacup or mug.
  10. Enjoy:
  • Sip and enjoy the delicate and aromatic flavor of your homemade Jasmine Tea.

Feel free to experiment with the steeping time and sweeteners to customize the tea to your liking. Whether enjoyed hot or iced, Jasmine Tea is a delightful and fragrant beverage that’s perfect for relaxation.
